Aubergine Cuisine is one of Nottingham’s best-kept secrets, a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant, tucked away in Hockley, on the edge of Nottingham city centre.’s bustling nightlife. The restaurant is managed by a small, dedicated team of myself the owner/chef and my equally passionate husband front of house, plus commis–chef, apprentice and one of Nottingham’s award winning vegetarian chefs.
Together we draw from over thirty years vegetarian and vegan culinary experience, of dining and cooking, to bring you dynamic dishes from around the globe. In addition to our chef’s experience of vegetarian and vegan cooking, we have the Vegetarian society’s Professional cookery diploma, and the diploma for vegan cooking. This ensures we consistently maintain the standards expected by our customers.
Our passion is providing exciting, creative and healthy food that can be enjoyed by all, including non-vegetarians, in a friendly, relaxed, and comfortable, environment. Our menu is regularly updated to reflect the exciting and endless array of vegetarian dishes available.
Our food is cooked fresh in-house daily, from locally available produce. Attention is given to sourcing organic products, which are vegetarian and vegan approved. We try our best to cater for customers’ dietary needs and can be creative with prior notice of your visit.
We have an outside catering service, delivering within a 5 mile radius of the city centre, any further, and we have a collection service.
Care and attention is given equally to our wines, which are vegetarian, vegan, and organic.
To produce the best quality in-house food, that is tasty, creative, healthy and nutritious, from the best quality products available and to serve these in a friendly comfortable environment. We consistently consider the impact on the environment, with respect to sourcing our products, using fair trade, organic and wholefood where possible.
