The owners of Pen-y-banc Farm have been vegetarian for thirty years. Penybanc’s a 40 acre organic holding in the heart of rural West Wales, halfway between Carmarthen and Cardigan.
‘Ceridwen’ sleeps up to 25 on a self-catering or vegetarian catered basis. It’s used for large groups holidaying together, for courses, meetings and workshops. Well-behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. Ceridwen has been used by yoga and meditation groups, television crews, for self-development courses, outdoor activity groups, business meetings, book launches, parties, wedding receptions, a murder mystery night, concerts, choir weekends, singing workshops and writing courses – amongst many other activities! Mountain bike hire is another option for guests
‘The Byre’, a newly converted farm building, sleeps 7 and adjoins The Old Dairy, a multi-purpose meeting/event room with toilets and kitchen. Camping is also available for a few pitches only.
There’s vegetarian B & B in the stone built farmhouse. It’s comfortable, friendly and heated,(like the other buildings), by biomass, with hot water provided by solar power. Guests are given homegrown or homemade where possible but local, fair-trade or organic where not.
