The 6 Tastes cafe is situated within the For Balance Health & Wellbeing Centre which runs in keeping with Ayurveda's aspiration of a fully comprehensive holistic experience. The name therefore is synonymous with Ayurveda’s diet and nutrition principle that has been adopted when cooking most dishes – be it soup, salad or a snack. The café advocates Ayurveda’s “6 tastes a day” while ensuring meals maintain the stipulated “5 a day”. Food is cooked fresh on the day using seasonal vegetables that come from local allotments. The worldwide recipes have subtle flavours of Ayurvedic herbs and spices that create a truly unique eating experience.
