From the house there are many walks straight into the natural beauty of the Lakes with Tarn Hows with its Lake and surrounding fells just a 20 minutes walk away.

We offer 10 en-suite rooms , some with french windows overlooking the Lake all done to a high standard with local herdwick wool carpets (FSC) oak panelling and designer guild fabrics

Each room has a TV DVD tea and coffee making facilities with music books and dvd's available from the libary

There is a large lounge with a Steinway grand where we host classical concerts.

We offer a continental vegetarian buffet including fresh fruits,muesli,cereals,home baked bread our own smoothies plus a full cooked breakfast of our own eggs, vegan sausages, organic beans,mushrooms,tomatoes and our own toast with Yewfield honey when available.
