Tucked away in a medieval building in the heart of the ancient city of York, El Piano is one of those rare finds for vegetarians serving a sumptuous menu to delight the most discerning palate. We’ve been successfully established for over 13 years (including outlets in Granada, Spain) and pride ourselves in serving a cuisine designed for almost everyone to share and enjoy together. Our whole menu is nut-free and caters for coeliacs, vegans and vegetarians alike. All our dishes are made on the premises from locally sourced fresh produce, organic where ever possible and complemented by a selection of specially selected wines, beers, soft drinks, teas and coffees. And, if you haven’t time to dine in, a WRAPIDO WINDOW provides customers with the opportunity to take away, in packaging that is largely biodegradable or recycled.

Our friendly, dedicated team regularly update the menu which includes favourites such as dhal with coconut and fresh coriander, Bolivian deep fried carrot and spring onion tinas and sticky toffee pudding to name but a few, whilst our recipe books and baking kits will ensure you can continue to enjoy a little bit of El Piano in your own home.
