The Manor House Conference Centre and Hotel in Godalming, Surrey is an award-winning venue which has recently been approved by the Vegetarian Society. Mealtimes at The Manor House are an important part of the overall service and the vegetarian choices are every bit as interesting and delicious as the non-vegetarian dishes.



Ellen Bridges, pastry chef at The Manor House, took the initiative to achieve the Vegetarian Society accreditation. Ellen explains, “As a chef and a vegetarian, I’m proud to work somewhere where we respect all the food we cook. We put a great deal of effort and imagination into our vegetarian food and we wanted to promote the fact that we really do our best to look after this frequently neglected group.”



Rather than limiting customers to unimaginative vegetarian options, at The Manor House there is always an appealing vegetarian choice on the menu. Entrees might include Layered Stack of Butternut Squash with Mexican Black Bean Sauce while a lunch option could be a Spinach and Ricotta Malfatti or Falafel with a Yoghurt and Mint Sauce.



The Manor House also has a good selection of vegetarian wines, cheeses, cooking oils, breads and only uses free range eggs. It is all part of The Manor House’s aim to offer a high quality choice of food and beverages to suit all our customers’ needs and any special dietary requirements.
